Atlas is a tank in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang who specializes in area-of-effect crowd control and initiating team fights. He can quickly close in on enemies, slow them down, and pull multiple opponents into a single spot using his ultimate. In this guide, we’ll break down Atlas’s abilities, the best items and emblems, and explain how to play him effectively and which heroes to watch out for.

Atlas is a tank-class hero who typically plays the roamer role. His main task is to move between lanes, assist allies, and create favorable conditions for team fights. He performs particularly well against low-mobility heroes who cannot quickly escape the range of his crowd control.
The hero can be purchased in the in-game store for 32,000 Battle Points or 599 Diamonds.
Atlas’s main strength is his powerful area-of-effect crowd control. His ultimate ability allows him to pull multiple enemies at once and move them to a location advantageous for his allies. Thanks to his high survivability and the additional protection provided by his passive ability, he can withstand prolonged attacks, and his second ability helps him quickly initiate fights.
However, Atlas relies heavily on the proper use of his ultimate. If enemies manage to scatter or evade the pull, the hero will lose a significant portion of his effectiveness until the ability cooldown ends. Additionally, he is vulnerable to crowd control and certain abilities that allow enemies to break free from control effects.

Atlas has four abilities. They allow him to slow and freeze enemies, deal area-of-effect magic damage, and pull enemies toward a single point. The hero is particularly effective in team fights, where he can control multiple targets simultaneously.
When Atlas uses his abilities, he creates a cold zone around himself that lasts five seconds. Nearby enemies are gradually slowed and then frozen for 0.5 seconds. While the effect is active, the hero gains additional physical and magical defense. “Cold Breath” is especially useful when closing in on enemies, as it prevents them from quickly leaving the danger zone.
Atlas strikes the ground, triggering three consecutive explosions that deal magic damage to surrounding enemies. If the hero is outside his mechanical guardian, both use the ability simultaneously. “Annihilation” helps deal area-of-effect damage, clear minions, and maintain pressure on enemies after applying crowd control.
Atlas separates from his mechanical guardian, increases his movement speed, and becomes immune to slow effects. The guardian begins to follow him, and upon reuniting, deals magic damage and stuns nearby enemies. While the two parts are separated, damage taken is reduced by 50%. “Perfect Duo” is useful for quickly closing the distance, launching surprise attacks, and charging up the ultimate.
Atlas unleashes chains that bind the nearest enemy heroes, dealing magic damage and slowing them. When the ability is activated again, he pulls the bound enemies toward him and slams them into a targeted area, dealing additional damage. “Deadly Chains” is particularly effective against groups of enemies that can be gathered together for massive allied attacks. Keep in mind that suppression can interrupt the ultimate’s charge.
At level 1, learn “Perfect Duo” to gain additional mobility and the ability to stun enemies. At level 2, unlock “Extermination” to deal area-of-effect damage. Then prioritize upgrading the first skill, level up the second skill next, and enhance the ultimate at available levels.
Atlas’s main combos:
Try to use “Deadly Chains” after the stun from your second ability. If you activate your ultimate before reuniting with the guardian, the additional stun will be replaced by a slow, making it easier for mobile enemies to avoid being captured.

Atlas needs a large health pool, physical and magic defense, and ability cooldown reduction. The core build focuses on increasing survivability so that the hero can safely initiate fights and hold off enemies until allies arrive.
For standard play as a roamer, the following six items are recommended:
Against heavy magical damage, it’s best to buy “Valkyrie’s Shield” early on, and if the main threat is a marksman with a high attack speed, “Shoulder Guards of Punishment” will come in handy.
“Fleeting Time” is useful for using your ultimate more frequently. You can purchase it instead of one of the defensive items if your team is comfortably winning battles. “Immortality” allows you to resurrect after dying and gain an additional shield.
“Radiant Armor” is useful against mages who deal sustained damage with frequent hits. It helps you better withstand sustained magical attacks, so you can purchase it instead of “Valkyrie’s Shield” if your opponents are relying on sustained pressure rather than quick casts.
You can also use the “Camouflage” roam blessing instead of “Encouragement.” It allows Atlas and his nearest allies to temporarily hide from enemies and move faster. This option is especially useful for surprise attacks and combos with his ultimate.

The Tank emblem is best suited for Atlas, as it increases maximum health, physical and magical defense, and health regeneration. Thanks to these stats, the hero can engage in combat with greater confidence and withstand enemy attacks while charging his ultimate.
For standard gameplay, you can choose the following talents:
The best combat spell for Atlas is “Flash.” It allows him to instantly move a short distance, close the gap to enemies, or unexpectedly change position while preparing an attack.
It’s an unusual yet effective combination to pair “Flash” with “Deadly Chains.” Thanks to the additional movement, Atlas can grab multiple enemies who would otherwise be out of reach and pull them toward his team.

Atlas is most effective when he initiates combat unexpectedly and gathers enemies for his allies’ area-of-effect attacks. His main task is to find the right moment to use his ultimate, protect his teammates, and control key areas of the map.
Early in the game, support your ally’s jungler or assist the mage in the mid lane. Use “Perfect Duo” to scout dangerous areas and stun enemies by surprise. Once you’ve unlocked your ultimate, try to move between lanes more often and participate in battles for the Turtle. At the same time, don’t linger too long near a single ally: Atlas is a roamer and should help the entire team, rather than staying on one lane all the time.
By mid-game, Atlas becomes significantly tankier thanks to defensive items. Move around with your team more often, check the bushes, and look for opportunities to engage multiple enemies at once. Use “Perfect Duo” to close the distance, then cast “Deadly Chains” to herd enemies into a convenient area. It’s especially important to warn your allies about an attack in advance: if the team doesn’t manage to deal damage to the captured targets in time, even a well-executed ultimate can be useless.
Late in the game, a single well-executed Atlas combo can decide the outcome of the match. Try to take advantageous positions near the Lord, in narrow passages, and when defending your base. Don’t start a fight just for a single tank if you have the chance to take down an enemy marksman or mage. At the same time, keep an eye on your own allies: sometimes it’s better to save your ultimate to protect your team from mobile assassins than to try to break through to the enemy’s backline on your own.
Atlas struggles against heroes capable of removing crowd control, interrupting ultimates, or preventing him from closing in. Diggy is particularly dangerous; with “Time Travel,” he allows allies to break free from crowd control and avoid mass captures. Franco and Kaya can interrupt ultimate charge-ups with stuns, while Valir can push Atlas away and prevent him from taking up a favorable position. Mobile assassins like Ling and Fanny can also pose challenges, as they can quickly escape the chains’ range.
Atlas’s best allies are considered to be Odette, Kadita, Fash, and Ixia. They deal massive area-of-effect damage and can effectively attack multiple enemies at once that have been gathered by “Deadly Chains.” A combo with Odette is particularly dangerous: after successfully pulling enemies in, she can use her ultimate to deal massive damage to the entire group. Atlas also pairs well with other mages and marksmen who rely on crowd control to land their abilities accurately.
