gxn1us: “But what they did to Ruby is nonsense. She’s just way too strong.”

Team Yandex explainer Timur “gxn1us” Khamidov discussed Pakito’s matchups in a post-match interview during BetBoom Rise of Legends Season 10 and commented on the hero changes in the new Mobile Legends update: Bang Bang, and shared his thoughts on the team’s poor performance in the tournament.
On the loss on the first map of the match against Omnix
I don’t know, maybe we didn’t take the game seriously enough. We just messed around a bit, that’s all. We weren’t prepared for such an unconventional draft from our opponents.
I don’t know—I didn’t actually watch that game myself. Maybe we underestimated them a little; I’m not sure. I think I was doing something with Pakito in that game. Things just didn’t quite click for the team as a whole.
On Pakito matchups
It’s basically a perfect matchup, I don’t know. It’s impossible to lose to Benedetta on Pakito. Pakito is considered a counter-pick to Benedetta in the lane, so it’s impossible to lose there.
Fovius counters [Pakito], and so does Ruby. Now, after the patch, they hold their own against him pretty well and even get the upper hand a little.
On the New Patch
We played a bit with the team in ranked today, and to be honest, I didn’t really notice what had changed. Based on my experience, I can definitely say that they nerfed Fovius, nerfed Freya, and nerfed Pakito. You know, these are minor nerfs, just to fine-tune the heroes. But what they did to Ruby is nonsense. She’s just way too strong. There’s one hero you can pick against her—we picked him once today. Actually, I just remembered there are two heroes you can pick against her. Ruby has become really strong.
On losses at tournaments
It’s unpleasant, of course. It’s unpleasant to lose, especially at the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7—it was super unpleasant because that was my first MCC where I made it to the playoffs. We played against Team Spirit—we were one map short. We played against Verso Time—we fell one map short. It was disappointing that we didn’t make it through. It was also disappointing at the last tournament that we didn’t make it through; it was as if we weren’t fully awake against Virtus.pro. It’s always tough to lose, but we’re not stopping; we’re not giving up. Yeah, it’s frustrating, sad, annoying, and disappointing, but what can you do?
Team Yandex defeated Omnix in the upper bracket semifinals of the BetBoom Rise of Legends Season 10 closed qualifier, but failed to beat Virtus.pro in the upper bracket final and FORZE Esports in the lower bracket final, thereby ending their run in the tournament. The gxn1us squad finished in 5th place in the championship and received 460,000₽ in prize money.
