Dota 2 Update from August 14, 2026: Fix for a bug involving Phoenix and Timbersaw
On the night of August 14, the developers released a minor update that fixed a bug with the Sun Ray and Flamethrower abilities. This was reported by Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman on Telegram.

- Fixed a bug that caused Phoenix’s Sun Ray and Timbersaw’s Flamethrower to always appear on the enemy’s minimap when activated.
The update size was 1.5 MB.
Earlier, Valve updated the effects of Silencer’s Arcane Curse when using the cosmetic item “Aspect of Oscilla of the Crimson Witness,” which is contained in the “Treasure of the Crimson Witness 2026” treasure chest — it is awarded to randomly selected attendees of The International 2026 when they secure first blood.
