Conventus Stellarum midlaner Artem “lorenof” Melnik spoke about the team’s roster and playing style in an interview at PGL Wallachia Season 9.
I can say that this is most likely not our final roster yet. We just decided to play in this tournament. After TI, I talked to the guys I wanted to play with. We just put a team together and are slowly moving forward.
[You played with OmaR at The International. When did you decide you wanted to play with DM? How did you realize he was exactly the player you needed?] Yeah, I just chatted with him a bit during the tournament. He seemed like a laid-back guy who really understands the game, so I thought he was a pretty good offlaner. That’s why I wanted to play with him this season.
I wouldn’t say it’s fun, but the process itself is interesting.
I think our macro play is already figured out; we have a shared understanding of how we want to play on the map.
Maybe a top-3 finish would have been better, but overall, yeah, everything’s fine—I didn’t expect us to make it to the top 6.
I never have any expectations; I take things day by day, so I don’t expect anything.
Earlier, Conventus Stellarum received an invitation to PGL Wallachia Season 9 and announced a roster led by coach Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Tahasomi, which included Daniel “Ghost” Chan Kok Hong, Artem “lorenof” Melnik, Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, Omar “OmaR” Mugrabi, and Nikita “panto” Balaganin.
