Team Liquid Technical Director Ben “Noxville” Stenhuysen shared some stats on X about the first matches of the group stage at The International 2026.
The analyst noted that BetBoom Team (BoomBoys) pulled off the biggest comeback in TI tournament history: the team overcame a 35,000-point deficit.
PARIVISION (TEAM VISION) carry Alan “Satanic” Galliamov achieved the highest kill count in a winning game at TI—29 on Shadow Fiend. He also dealt the most damage with this hero—131,000—and killed the most creeps—1,361. Across all matches, Sayed “SumaiL” Sumail Hassan still leads the standings—he killed enemy heroes 31 times as Tiny, but lost that map.
In addition, the third map of the PV against Team Falcons became the sixth-longest game at TI. Oliver “skiter” Lepko bought one of the latest Hand of Midas items in history during this game—the fifth from the end—while Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak set a personal record for hero damage, dealing 126,000.
In terms of Divine Rapier purchases, this game ranked third in TI history and 13th on the pro scene. The Falcons set a new team record for the number of creeps killed—3,862. Andrei “Dukalis” Kuropatkin covered a distance of 1,318,032 units—his personal best.
The International 2026 is taking place from August 13 to 23 in China. Seven teams were invited to the tournament, and nine more advanced through regional qualifiers. This year’s prize pool will exceed $2.9 million.
