Xtreme Gaming has advanced to the PGL Wallachia Season 9 playoffs. PlayTime has been eliminated from the tournament.
Yakult Brothers and Xtreme Gaming defeated PlayTime and LGD Gaming, respectively, in the group stage of PGL Wallachia Season 9.
On the first map, Yakult Brothers seized the initiative after the mid-game and confidently secured the map victory. On the second map, PlayTime put up a longer fight, but YB once again proved stronger in team fights and closed out the series with a 2-0 score.
On the first map of the XG vs. LGD match, Wang “Ame” Chunyu snapped a 10-game losing streak on Phantom Lancer. His KDA was 11/1/9. The second map was evenly matched until the 20-minute mark, but after that, Xtreme Gaming was able to seize the initiative and close out the series with a 2–0 victory.
For PlayTime, this is their third loss in the group stage. The team exits the tournament in 15th–16th place, earning $10,000. Xtreme Gaming secured their third win and advanced to the playoffs.
PGL Wallachia Season 9 is taking place from September 19 to 27 in Bucharest, Romania. Sixteen teams are competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool, with $300,000 going to the winner. BetBoom Team won the previous tournament in the series.
