Xtreme Gaming offlaner Nicholas Lim “zeal” En Han spoke in an interview at PGL Wallachia Season 9 about the impact of Patch 7.41f on the meta and shared his expectations for the tournament.

On joining Xtreme Gaming

Well, I’m really excited to be playing with this new roster and happy to compete in the PGL tournament.

On his gameplay

So far, the patch has been a pretty good fit for my hero pool, so I’m confident in the heroes I can pick.

On the impact of Patch 7.41f on the game

The changes in this patch are probably minor. Some heroes have been nerfed. Maybe the game has changed a little, but I think, in the end, everything will stay pretty much the same.

On the current Dota 2 meta

Generally, heroes that farm very quickly—especially on the offlane—and carries that apply a lot of pressure are highly valued. That’s how I see it overall.

On the playstyle for the third position in the current meta

It seems that heroes suited for teamfights are still important in the third position.

[Do you like this? Does this style suit you?]

I think so. I like it because, compared to the past, it’s become pretty easy—back then there were a lot of different annoying moments.

On playing with XinQ

Playing on the lane with XinQ is fun because he basically just does whatever he wants, and most of the time we hold the lane pretty well. So it’s interesting to play with him for the first time.

On expectations for the tournament

I can’t speak for the whole team, but personally, I hope to finish high—maybe make it into the top 4 or even higher. But we’ll see.

Earlier, host and commentator Vasilisa “Vasilisa” Chernova spoke about Xtreme Gaming’s new roster, noting the return of Go “Xm” Hongchen and criticizing the club’s decision to part ways with Se “XXS” Junxiang. According to Chernova, the team could have brought together Ame, XXS, Xnova, XM, and XinQ in a single roster.
