Experience Farming in Fortnite: The Best Methods in 2026

Gleb Brekhov
Fortnite

Experience in Fortnite is necessary to level up your Battle Pass and earn seasonal rewards. You can earn it in various ways: by completing daily challenges, participating in matches, playing custom modes, and using special maps to farm XP. In this guide, we’ll break down the best ways to earn XP in Fortnite, highlight the top maps for XP farming in 2026, and explain which methods work the fastest.

What Is Experience in Fortnite and Why Do You Need It?

Experience in Fortnite (XP) allows you to level up your account and progress through the Battle Pass. For each level earned, players unlock new seasonal rewards, including skins, emotes, graffiti, pickaxes, loading screens, and in-game currency.

You can earn Fortnite XP for almost any in-game activity: playing matches, completing daily and weekly challenges, participating in events, and using special maps to farm XP. The more XP a player earns throughout the season, the faster they’ll unlock all Battle Pass rewards and additional bonuses.

The Best Ways to Earn Experience in Fortnite

Farming XP in Fortnite Through Challenges

Challenges are the most reliable source of experience in Fortnite. Daily, weekly, and seasonal quests usually yield the most XP. To complete them, you simply need to participate in matches—even without placing in the top ranks—as well as visit specific locations, use certain weapons, and so on.

It’s especially helpful to complete several quests at once. For example, during a single match, you can complete a daily quest, make progress on a weekly challenge, and complete a seasonal event quest. If you keep the necessary conditions in mind, you can earn Fortnite XP much faster than you would just by playing casually.

Also, don’t miss out on limited-time events. When new patches and collaborations are released, the developers offer challenges that grant a higher amount of XP. This is the easiest way to earn it.

Farming Fortnite XP in Custom Games

In addition to standard matches, you can farm XP in custom modes. Many Fortnite maps designed for XP farming are specifically created to earn XP quickly and allow you to earn rewards for completing simple actions, passing challenges, or participating in mini-games.

The most popular of these are parkour maps, enemy wave modes, training maps, and various AFK modes. However, keep in mind that Epic Games regularly adjusts the amount of XP awarded and may reduce XP farming on certain maps.

Additional sources of XP include LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing. These modes have their own challenges and reward systems, making them a convenient option for players who don’t want to participate in Battle Royale matches for the time being. If, for whatever reason, you don’t want to compete in Classic mode, you can focus on the challenges in these modes.

The Best Maps for Farming XP in Fortnite: Which One to Choose

Squid Game Tycoon

Community maps sometimes grant a large amount of XP for completing easy challenges. But keep in mind that the developers monitor these modes and occasionally reduce the amount of XP earned. That’s why you should regularly check for updates on the most popular maps. You can usually find them by searching for “Parkour” or “Tycoon.”

Some maps offer AFK XP in Fortnite, where a portion of the rewards is earned simply for spending time on the map.

The most popular maps:

  • FortM (6163-6465-2983) — you need to complete simple tasks from NPCs;
  • Squid Game Tycoon (5655-2869-7519) — farm money, buy weapons, and repeat;
  • Ice Cream Tycoon (3431-6614-6728) — similar to the previous one;
  • Winter Trickshot Parkour (1275-4602-9363) — as the name suggests, a parkour map;
  • Speed 2V2 Arena (8421-5636-8362) — a PvP map with fast-paced matches;
  • Sand Drive (7221-5499-2222) — an AFK desert drive.

To launch a map, go to Creative Mode search and enter the code or name. Join the map and complete the tasks there. You can use a private lobby if the map allows single-player gameplay.

It’s hardly possible to pick a single “best” map for farming experience. It all depends on the player’s preferences—some prefer solo farming, others want to have fun with others, and still others don’t mind jumping around for coins for 5–10 minutes. Since the XP rewards are roughly the same across all these options, it’s best to find an activity you enjoy so that farming for the Battle Pass doesn’t turn into a grind or a chore that makes you lose the desire to play the game.

Fortnite XP Farming: How Much XP Can You Earn Per Day

In Fortnite, you can earn up to 600,000–800,000 XP per day, which is roughly 7–10 levels. But remember that the maximum weekly limit is 4 million XP, so it’s not worth getting too carried away with the grind.

Once you reach a certain threshold, the amount of XP you earn gradually decreases. The most noticeable limitations apply to custom maps and maps designed for AFK XP farming in Fortnite. At the start of a gaming session, rewards for completing actions are usually at their highest, but as you gain experience, the rewards decrease.

For effective farming, combine different sources of XP:

  • Creative Mode: about 600,000 XP daily. XP is awarded for time spent on custom maps (approximately 5,000 XP every 10–15 minutes) and for completing hidden challenges on them.
  • Battle Royale and Zero Altitude: up to 300,000+ XP per day by completing daily (45,000 XP each) and weekly tasks, as well as by earning achievements in matches—such as the number of kills or long survival.
  • “Battle the Storm” mode: Earns up to 300,000 XP daily by completing missions and daily quests.
  • Festival and Races: an additional 100,000–200,000 XP for playing these modes daily.

In practice, active players can earn up to 10 Battle Pass levels per day without exploiting XP bugs in Fortnite. When it comes to the best way to farm XP in Fortnite today, the most effective method is considered to be a combination of seasonal challenges, LEGO Fortnite, and current Creative maps that support XP. This approach allows you to consistently earn XP without exploiting bugs or putting your account at risk.

Fortnite XP Glitches: Do They Work?

Experience glitches in Fortnite usually refer to exploiting game bugs that allow players to earn XP faster than intended by the developers. Such methods regularly appear after major updates, but Epic Games quickly detects and fixes most of these vulnerabilities.

Many XP bugs in Fortnite only work for a few days or even hours after they’re discovered. That’s why it’s better to use XP farming maps in Fortnite that are approved by the Creative XP system—this is usually more profitable and safer than searching for the next exploit.

Can You Get Banned for Using XP Glitches?

Some content creators have made a name for themselves by finding XP bugs in Fortnite. If you follow their social media accounts, you’ll be able to quickly find vulnerabilities in the game. But remember, you shouldn’t abuse this. Although bans for normal use of XP cards are rare, dishonest methods can still lead to penalties from Epic Games. If your goal is to level up your Battle Pass quickly, it’s better to focus on challenges, custom modes, and current Fortnite XP maps that operate within the game’s rules.

In 2021, Epic Games also publicly warned of penalties for exploiting farming in Creative Mode and temporarily disabled XP rewards. Complaints appeared on Reddit from players who received temporary bans for excessive abuse of these maps. However, this only applies to unfair maps—if you play a popular minigame approved by the developers, you won’t face any penalties.

On the other hand, using third-party programs to exploit experience glitches in Fortnite—which allow you to bypass system restrictions or gain an abnormally large amount of XP—always carries the risk of having your account banned. Don’t trust people who promise to level up your Pass in a couple of days—otherwise, you’ll lose both your account and your progress.
