Genshin Impact Update 7.2 — Characters, Map, Gems, and Everything We Know

Update 7.2 is coming to Genshin Impact in November, continuing the story of Xue and her characters. Beta testers have already shared information about what to expect in the upcoming patch. In this article, we’ll cover everything that’s known so far: gacha pulls, characters, release date, new map, storyline, and more.

Update 7.2 will be released on November 4, 2026, and will run through December 15, 2026. The patch is divided into two parts, each lasting 21 days. This means that during the update period, the developers will release two pairs of character banners.

During Version 7.2, two new Snow region characters will be released—Mitya and Valery, who are already familiar from the story.

Mitya is a 5-star Electro Catalyst, serving as the team’s main or support damage dealer.

Valery is a 4-star Electro Swordsman who supports Mitya, Sayno, and the Starlight reactions.

Insiders speculate that the patch will feature reruns of the five-star Cryo Swordswoman Odette and the five-star Cryo Spearman Loen. However, this information is not final; as of this writing, the developers have not confirmed the lineup for future banners.

The update will introduce a new map—the eastern part of Snowland, home to Novokitezhgrad, the former capital of the state under the White Tsar. The map features several levels, and Travelers will explore its underground areas.

Along with the release of the new territories, a shark-like werewolf boss will appear. Variations of familiar enemies will also appear in the world.

The “Imaginarium” theater’s side content will be expanded with two new Echoes: Shilonen and Yae Miko.

Photo poses for Arlequino, Nefer, Ifa, and Linnea will also be added.

On the 12th floor of the Abyss, a local legendary slime and an infinite array will appear.

The Theater will feature Pyro, Hydro, and Geo characters. Among those available at launch are Arlequino, Bennett, Furina, Xin Qiu, Navia, and Illuga.
