How to Watch a Match in PUBG: Replays, Highlights, and Spectator Mode
In PUBG, you can watch a match that has already been played to analyze your mistakes, review interesting moments, or check out a suspicious player. To do this, the game features a replay system, as well as a spectator mode for ongoing matches in certain game modes.
How to watch a past match in PUBG
In PUBG on PC, after a match ends, open Career > Replays. Select the match you’re interested in and click Play.
This section stores your most recent replays, which you can watch from different angles, switch between players, and freely move the camera.
If the replay you’re looking for isn’t there, it was most likely deleted after a new update was released, or you’ve exceeded the limit on saved replays.
On mobile, replay functionality is very limited. You can watch game highlights and a replay of your own death (this can be enabled in the settings). You can also watch your teammates after you die, as usual.
Can I watch another player’s match?
Sometimes you can watch a match without a Twitch stream, but only if the game is happening right now and spectator mode is available, or if the player is streaming. You cannot view replays of other players’ completed matches without special permissions.
Why won’t replays open?
After every major update, old replays become incompatible with the new version of the game and stop working. Therefore, if you want to save an interesting match, it’s best to record it in advance using the built-in Windows tool, the NVIDIA App, AMD Software, or OBS Studio.
