Marvel Rivals Skins: How to Get Them, Where to Buy Them, and All the New Looks

Skins in Marvel Rivals let you change the appearance of your heroes without affecting game balance. The developers regularly add new skins to the Battle Pass, the in-game store, and during seasonal events. In this guide, we’ll tell you what skins are available in Marvel Rivals, how to get them, and where to find the new summer collections.

All skins are divided into several rarity tiers. Rare skins are usually repaints of the standard costume, Epic skins often completely change a hero’s appearance, and Legendary skins also feature exclusive animations, visual effects, and other cosmetic enhancements. Some costumes also support changing color palettes.

Exclusive skins, marked with a star symbol in the game, form a separate category. They could only be obtained during a specific season, event, closed beta, tournament, or promotional campaign. Once the event ends, they disappear from the game, which is why accounts that have them are highly valued. Among collectors, early rewards for alpha and beta testing, as well as limited-edition seasonal skins, are particularly prized.

Most heroes have 3–5 different skins. However, if that’s not enough for you, you can try mods. With mods, players can replace heroes’ skins with alternative versions from comics, movies, other games, or completely original designs. You can get skins in Marvel Rivals for free or with in-game currency. The developers regularly hold events and promotions, so even without spending real money, you can build up a decent collection of skins.

Most new legendary and epic skins are available in the in-game store or as part of the paid Battle Pass. The developers also regularly hold sales and release themed bundles, allowing you to purchase several items together at a lower price than buying them individually.

Every summer, Marvel Rivals hosts a themed event called Summer Special, dedicated to beach season. During this period, the developers release a collection of summer skins featuring swimsuits, beachwear, and unique animations. Some skins can be obtained through the event’s limited-time pass, while others appear in the in-game store as separate bundles.

The first summer collection included skins for Thor, Luna Snow, The Thing, Loki, and Psylocke. Some could be obtained for free during the event, but the legendary ones had to be purchased with in-game currency. In the next summer event, skins were released for White Fox, Black Widow, Captain America, Cloak and Dagger, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Spider-Man, and other heroes. 

If you missed the summer event, don’t worry—the developers have already brought some of the seasonal rewards back to the store. So many of the summer skins will eventually become available for purchase again; you just need to wait.

In Season 9, several new skins became available to players at once. Among them are Midnight Mutant for Jubilee, Sapphire Shadow for Hela, Playful Pink for Devil Dinosaur, Baxter Building Beauty for the Invisible Woman, Silver Stalker for Elsa Bloodstone, Venom Bloom for Venom, and many others.

In addition to seasonal collections, the game regularly releases skins inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, classic comics, and alternate versions of characters.
