Water Song is a five-star Hydro Catalyst in Genshin Impact. She is a famous singer from Snowfall who takes the form of a mermaid. In terms of gameplay, Water Spirit fits not only into Constellation-based teams but also into any other team lacking a healer. In this guide, we’ll break down the best build, artifacts, weapons, and teams for Water Spirit for any budget.

Vodyanitsa will appear alongside Vesna in Patch 7.1, which is scheduled to begin on September 23. It is currently unknown which hero will be featured in the first half of the banner.
Water Spirit fits well not only in teams for Star Scattering but also in standard Freeze teams—Ayaka, Gan Yu, and Skirk.
It’s best to maximize her HP to make the most of her buffs and enhance her healing. However, if your Hydro-elemental damage dealer or sub-DPS lacks enough energy for their ultimate, or if Water Spirit herself doesn’t have enough energy for her ultimate every rotation, you can add energy regeneration.
Stat Allocations:
The hero has no strict critical strike requirements, except when she’s equipped with the Codex of Favonia. It’s recommended to reach 170% critical strike chance and 40,000 health.
Vodyanitsa also fits into any team that needs a healer. However, her passive abilities only work well with Freeze or Star Scatter.
To reach Level 90, you’ll need:
For talents, you’ll need:

Normal Attack: Up to four soundwave attacks that deal Hydro damage.
Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of stamina and releases bubbles that deal Hydro damage to enemies.
Deals Hydro damage, then enters the “Microphone Summon” state. For a short time, she repeatedly summons the microphone and performs alongside it. The microphone periodically appears on the battlefield and, together with the active character, attacks enemies, dealing Hydro damage and reducing their Cryo and Hydro resistance.
While the microphone is summoned, the active character’s interruption resistance increases, and the character periodically regains health.
Deals Hydro area-of-effect damage to enemies. If the Water Spirit is fighting alongside Microphone at that moment, the damage of this attack is further increased.
Outside of combat, the Water Spirit can transform into a mermaid by activating this skill. In this state, she can move across the water’s surface. This mode lasts for a limited time and ends if Stamina runs out or if an Elemental Skill is used again. Additionally, the Water Spirit can increase her swimming speed by consuming more Stamina.
While the elemental skill is active, Anemogranums created by party members are transformed into Anomalous Anemogranums. When they are created and explode, they reduce the Anemo resistance of nearby enemies by 30% for 6 seconds.
When entering the “Microphone Calls” state, Vodianitsa gains 17 levels of Solo and 10 levels of Unison.
When Vodianitsa plays a musical instrument, instead of its usual sound, she begins to sing a cappella.
Every time Vodianitsa restores characters’ HP, the attack power of nearby party members increases by 0.7% of her max HP. The effect lasts for 3 seconds.
With each Microphone attack, Water Spirit gains the Ensemble effect: The active character’s Hydro and Cryo critical damage is increased by 50% for 5 seconds. If Anomalous Anemogranums are on the field or were recently there, Ensemble transforms into Variation: the active character’s Star Scatter critical damage increases by 60% for 5 seconds. Additionally, the skill’s duration is increased by 9 seconds.
+3 to the skill level, max level 15.
Every time the Water Spirit heals a character, one of the following effects triggers depending on the healed character’s HP: if the character’s HP is below 40%, the amount of healing received increases by 50%. If the character’s HP is above 40%, Water Spirit’s maximum HP increases by 20% for 6 seconds. This effect can stack up to 3 times, and the duration of each level is calculated separately.
+3 to ultimate level; max level is 15.
Constellation 2’s “Ensemble” and “Variation” now affect all nearby squad members. Additionally, while Microphone Call is active, nearby squad members’ Stardust Scatter damage is increased by 25%, and their Hydro and Cryo damage is increased by 50%.
