Season 24 began in Rocket League on Wednesday—players who ranked in the top 100 have been awarded the corresponding titles. The developers have introduced a new limited-time mode and the ability to challenge other players to a duel during a match.
List of Changes
New Features
- Honor Duels: Starting in Season 24, you can challenge another player to a 1-on-1 duel during a match in the same mode you’re currently playing. Once a Duel of Honor is accepted, all other players will be invited to watch the match. The challenger and the defender will automatically be transported to the arena after the current match ends, and spectators can accept a notification in the social activities menu to watch the showdown.
- Black Market: Players can now exchange 3 duplicates for a new item.
- Goal celebration effects for the top player. The podium screen now plays the goal celebration effects used by the top player, and the screen displays the names of the effects.
- New limited-time mode—Bullet Ball: The last surviving vehicle wins this high-stakes arena battle. A fast, homing ball targets a single player; upon impact, it destroys the target unless the vehicle flips the ball away.
- Some titles can now track and display specific statistics, and new visual elements are unlocked as milestones are reached.
- Customizable scoreboards: You can now choose which metrics to display for each mode. Shots, saves, and assists can be replaced with demos, the number of “high-fives,” flips, and many other in-game events.
- New titles have been added for players ranked in the top 100 of Soccar’s global leaderboards, which are awarded at the end of the season.
- Improved keyboard and mouse controls: A free-camera mode has been added with updated default control settings. Players can also enable a center-aligned crosshair to support the new camera movement. Free-camera mode is also available for players using controllers.
