On September 18, the developers of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang released a new update for the mobile MOBA’s test server, which nerfed Glue, Hiraru, and Raphael, buffed Lynox and Xavier, and added new modifiers to “Card Battle” mode.
Hero Changes
The symbols (↑) (↓) (~) indicate a buff, nerf, and change, respectively.
Glu (↓)
Glu’s damage as a tank was too high, so we’ve reduced it.
- Explosion Damage: 250–400 (+12% of bonus health) >> 230–380 (+11% of bonus health).
- Health Regeneration: 20% >> 20%–30%
Hirara (↓)
Some damage buffs introduced in the previous patch have been removed.
- Damage Bonus: 75% additional physical attack >> 65% additional physical attack.
Kai’ya (~)
Enemy heroes’ reaction to Kaya’s ultimate has been changed. They now have more time to leave the area before the ultimate activates, but they can no longer use skills that grant immunity to crowd control to avoid the area restriction.
- Slightly increased the delay before the ultimate activates;
- New effect: Targets with immunity to crowd control can no longer leave the ultimate’s area of effect when it activates.
Lunox (↑)
Ultimate (Power of Chaos) (↑)
- Restored the damage dealt to nearby enemies after dashing.
Raphael (↓)
Raphael’s second skill provided strong team support and could be used too frequently. Therefore, we have increased its cooldown for balance.
- Cooldown: 10.5–8.5 seconds >> 11.5–10.5 seconds.
Uranus (~)
The area-of-effect damage of his basic attack has been changed to magic damage
Xavier (↑)
Skill controls have been optimized.
- Cast delay reduced by 50%.
- Cast time reduced by 50%.
Battlefield Changes
Combat Spells
Sprint (↑)
- Cooldown: 100 seconds >> 75 seconds.
System Changes
“Preparation” Section Update
We’ve simplified the “Preparation” feature, making it more intuitive to use.
- All screens have been updated to match the new visual style of the interface;
- A blur effect has been added behind all pop-up and side notifications to make the in-game experience more immersive;
- Line tags have been added to “Battle Settings.” You can now assign a line to your custom setup. When viewing or applying a pro setup, you can also see on which line the player used the hero;
- The “Battle Effects” tab has been renamed to “In-Match Customization,” and a new main screen has been added. It displays all customization items equipped by the selected heroes, making it easier to find specific item types;
- The “In-Match Character Customization” tabs have been grouped into broader categories, such as “Character Effects” and “Emotes,” making it easier to find items without having to scroll through an overly long list of tabs;
- The rules and interactions for using in-match character customization items on multiple heroes have been optimized;
- The “Character Customization” tab has been renamed to “Off-Match Customization,” and a new main screen has been added. It displays all out-of-match customization items currently equipped on your account, making it easier to find specific item types;
- Access to editing all out-of-match customization items has been consolidated, making it easier to adjust avatar frames, nameplate backgrounds, and much more;
- A new “Battlefield Guide” main screen has been added, which combines combat gear, the battlefield map, combat spells, and the skill tree. It helps new players learn the mechanics of the MLBB battlefield more quickly.
Mode Changes
Card Battle
In this update, we’ve made changes to a large number of maps in this mode.
New Maps and Effect Adjustments
- Last Will (Legendary Quality): Grants a 10% damage boost, a 20% movement speed boost, and a 10% hybrid lifesteal boost. Upon a hero’s death, these buffs are granted to all allied heroes within a 6-unit radius for 8 seconds;
- Necromancer (Legendary Quality): When another hero within an 8-unit radius dies, you gain 1 charge of “Soul Harvest” for 20 seconds. Each charge grants 15 adaptive attack, 8 physical defense, and 8 magic defense, stacking up to 8 times. When the maximum number of charges is reached, the character enters the Underworld for 5 seconds. Underworld: The hero becomes invulnerable to attacks, increases in size by 20%, and retains attribute bonuses when fully charged;
- Evolving Malicious Weapon (Legendary Quality): Increases base attack range by 1 unit. Killing an enemy hero increases it by 0.2 units. If an enemy hero dies within 3 seconds of taking damage, the range increases by 0.1 units. The base attack range gained from kills and assists is unlimited. Each hit grants 1 progress point, and a critical hit grants 1 additional point. Every 20 points increases the basic attack range by 0.1 units, up to a maximum of 1 unit through progress points;
- Unstable Potion (Legendary Quality): Upon obtaining this card, and every 30 seconds thereafter, it randomly transforms into one of several forms for 30 seconds. Giant Form: Increases size, physical defense, magic defense, maximum health, and tenacity, but reduces movement speed. Shrunken Form: Increases movement speed, attack speed, and cooldown reduction, but decreases physical and magic defense. There is also a chance to transform into the corresponding Super Form, doubling all buffs and debuffs;
- Vampire (Legendary Trait): During combat, drains health from all enemy heroes within a 3.5-unit radius every 5 seconds, dealing 8% of each target’s maximum health as magic damage. Restores health equal to the actual damage dealt
- Battle Medic (Legendary Quality): When healing or applying shields to an allied hero, fires a projectile at the enemy hero with the lowest health percentage near that ally, dealing 600 magic damage. Each 1% of the healing effect increases the projectile’s damage by 2%. There is also a 10% chance to fire projectiles at all enemies near that ally;
- Restorative Burst (Legendary Quality): For every 10% of maximum health lost, fires a healing projectile at another allied hero with the lowest health percentage within a 6-unit radius. The target and the user each regain 800 Health. Healing projectiles are fired at intervals of at least 0.5 seconds;
- Secondary Explosion (Legendary Quality): Applying a crowd control effect to an enemy hero creates a fire zone beneath them, which explodes after 1 second and deals 600 magic damage to enemies within the area of effect. After the first activation, this effect can trigger up to 3 additional times on other enemy heroes affected by crowd control effects within 1 second, after which it enters a cooldown. Cooldown: 10 seconds;
- Blood Growth (Legendary Quality): Gains 1 Growth charge per second while in combat with enemy heroes. Each charge increases maximum Health by 200, Physical and Magic Defense by 5, and Size by 2%. There is no limit to the number of charges this effect can hold, and they disappear after 5 seconds out of combat;
- Shadow Barrier (Legendary Quality): The magic shield regenerates 10 seconds after use. While the shield is active, the user gains immunity to crowd control effects and an additional 20% physical and magic penetration. Taking damage from an enemy hero or tower consumes the shield, reduces damage by 80%, and removes crowd control effects. After the shield is used, the penetration bonus lasts for another 2 seconds;
- Magic Turbine (Legendary Quality): When this ability hits enemies, it increases movement speed by 20 for 8 seconds (stacks up to 20 times);
- Black Hole (Legendary Quality): Casting the ultimate creates a black hole centered on the user that lasts for 3 seconds. Every 0.5 seconds, it pulls enemy heroes within its area of effect toward the center by approximately 0.3 units and deals 100 magic damage to them. Cooldown: 30 seconds;
- Rapid Healing (Epic Quality): Casting a hero ability that heals or applies a shield to an allied hero reduces the current cooldown of that ability by 2 seconds. Triggers up to once per cast;
- Small Build (Epic Quality): Killing an enemy hero grants 2 buff charges. If the enemy hero dies within 3 seconds of taking damage, the user gains 1 buff charge. Each charge reduces the cooldown by 5% and grants 5 adaptive attack;
- First Aid (Epic Quality): Grants 20% healing effect. Increases movement speed by 15–40% when moving toward an allied hero with health below 70%. The lower the allied hero’s health, the greater the bonus. The maximum bonus is reached when the target has less than 20% of their total health;
- Titan (Epic Quality): Increases maximum health by 20% and hero size by 30%;
- Big Guy (Epic): Grants 2 charges after killing an enemy hero and 1 charge after assisting in a kill. Each charge increases maximum health by 100 and the hero’s size by 5%;
- Gaining Momentum (Epic): Increases attack speed by 30%. A dash grants an additional 50% attack speed for 6 seconds;
- Healing Runner (Premium Quality): Increases healing received by 10% and secondary healing from healing potions by 100%. Each secondary heal from a healing potion permanently increases healing received by 1% for the remainder of the match;
- Unrestrained (premium quality): Grants a shield of 800 units when the ability is used. Lasts 3 seconds. Cooldown: 10 seconds.
