How to top up the App Store in Russia: adding funds, gift cards, and pricing

Due to recent restrictions, you can no longer top up your Apple ID balance directly with a Russian bank card. However, users can still add funds to their App Store account using gift cards or special top-up services. Once the funds are credited, you can use your balance to pay for apps, games, subscriptions, and other digital purchases. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to redeem a code and how to purchase one.

Be sure to check that the gift card is valid for your Apple ID region. Cards issued for another country cannot be activated.

Prices vary by region, and the region, in turn, depends on your goals. For example, if you have an Apple Watch and regularly work out at the gym, you can subscribe to Apple Fitness, but it isn’t available in many regions outside the U.S. And if you simply want access to all apps, in-app purchases in games, and prices that aren’t much different from those in Russia, choose Turkey or Kazakhstan.
