Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play game, but within the game you can purchase premium currency, a Battle Pass, and cosmetic items. In this guide, we’ll explain how in-app purchases work in Marvel Rivals, what types of currency you can buy, and the safest ways to top up your balance.

Currency in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals uses several types of currency, each of which is needed for different purchases. Some can be earned while playing, while others can only be purchased with real money.

  • Lattice is a premium currency that can be purchased with real money. It’s used to buy Battle Passes, bundles, and to exchange for other types of currency at a 1:1 rate.
  • Units — the main in-game store currency. They are used to buy skins, emotes, MVP animations, player cards, and other cosmetic items. Units can be earned for free through events, achievements, and the Battle Pass, or exchanged from Lattice.
  • Chrono Tokens — the Battle Pass’s seasonal currency. They are earned by completing daily, weekly, and seasonal tasks and are spent to unlock Battle Pass rewards. At the end of the season, most Chrono Tokens expire.
  • Decay Molecules — a special currency used to purchase Chroma skins and additional visual effects for certain costumes. They can be earned through events, by leveling up heroes, or exchanged via Lattice.

How to Make In-Game Purchases in Marvel Rivals in Russia

Due to restrictions imposed by international payment systems, it’s not always possible to purchase Lattice directly with a Russian bank card. However, Russian players still have several working methods for topping up their accounts.

The most popular options are:

  • Top up your Steam wallet using any convenient method (we’ve already covered the most popular methods in a separate article), and then purchase Lattice in-game;
  • Use services that top up Lattice directly using your account’s User ID. They typically accept SBP, Russian bank cards, and USDT.
  • If you’re playing through the Epic Games Store, use similar methods.

Before making a payment through third-party services, be sure to verify that your User ID is correct and use only trusted platforms with a good reputation. This will help you avoid errors when crediting your account.

What can you buy with donations, and is it worth donating?

With the premium currency Lattice, you can purchase a Battle Pass, skins, themed bundles, emotes, MVP animations, profile cards, and other cosmetic items. Additionally, Lattice can be exchanged for Units and Decay Molecules, which are used to purchase some cosmetics and chroms. Donations do not unlock new heroes or provide advantages in matches—all purchases are purely cosmetic.

Therefore, in-game purchases are not required for an enjoyable gaming experience. You will still have access to all features, though without premium character skins.

Approximate prices in Russia:

  • 100 Lattices — starting at 70 rubles;
  • 2,180 Lattices — starting at 1,700 rubles;
  • 11,680 Lattices — starting at 8,100 rubles.

Premium skins cost approximately 2,200 Lattices, but it’s more cost-effective to buy a large bundle so you have enough for several skins at once, as well as a Battle Pass and other cosmetic items.
