G2 Esports, Movistar KOI, and Karmine Corp have qualified for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship following the LEC Summer Split.
The 2026 League of Legends LEC Summer Split concluded on September 20. Following the tournament, three teams from Europe qualified for the 2026 World Championship: G2 Esports, Movistar KOI, and Karmine Corp.
In the grand final, G2 defeated MKOI 3-0. Support player Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis was named the series’ Most Valuable Player. This marks G2’s 20th title in Europe’s top league. The team won all three LEC tournaments this season—Versus, Spring, and Summer.

The 2026 LEC Summer Split took place from July 24 to September 20. Ten teams competed in the tournament for three spots in the World Championship and two spots in the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational. The decisive matches took place at the arena in Nice.
The 2026 World Championship will take place from October 15 to November 14 in three U.S. cities—New York, Allen, and Los Angeles. Nineteen teams will compete for a prize pool of $5,000,000. The winner will take home $1,000,000, and the runner-up will receive $800,000.
